| LIBRARY PROJECTS |
| Libraries, whether on a campus or in a community, represent the center of learning both for the written and visual media they contain, as well as the community center which they serve. As the technology of media and information access changes, existing libraries must adapt to accommodate the new technology. In a new library, these contemporary technologies in turn, require the architectural re-thinking of programmatic relationships, natural lighting, space planning for individual study and group meetings, and symbolic presence within the community. Hand in hand with these issues, phasing of such projects is carefully determined so the construction and/or renovation is the least disruptive to the on-going use of the facility. MC Harry Associates has been acknowledged with several awards for both the Florida International University Library and the Hollywood Branch Library.
