MCHarry has been commissioned by the City of South Miami to provide a Master Plan for South Miami Park. This 10.45 acres park is currently used for a variety of team sports such as youth soccer and flag football. On site 2.37 acres of the park currently house a proposed YMCA development. Major components of the park layout include an entry feature which includes picnic and restroom facilities, a mid-field building which contains concessions & restrooms, water features and a perimeter walking path. In addition, attention is being dedicated to enhancing the landscape buffer between the park and adjacent neighbors. All of these items are being introduced while attempting to maintain as many current field activites as possible. The concessions building is registered with the USGBC and is tracking Silver Level LEED Certification.
