Florida International University Alumni Center

The Alumni Center will be the official welcoming site for visitors to the university and the hub for alumni and student gatherings. The facility features a grand two-story living room/entrance hall, a gallery space showcasing alumni accomplishments and university milestones, a faculty library and lounge, café, multiple conference rooms and office space, and a spacious ballroom venue hosting large gatherings and catered events. The ‘L’ shaped building provides edge definition to a large landscaped courtyard which communicates directly with the facility’s entrance hall and ballroom pre-function space. Oriented to take advantage of South Florida’s tropical breezes, the courtyard can host both daytime and evening outdoor events. The Center’s curving façade initiates the development of an eastside campus gateway feature and blends a warm and inviting residential appeal with the strength and permanence of a collegiate institution.
