Florida International University Foundation

The Florida International University Foundation was established to encourage, solicit, receive and administer gifts for scientific, educational and charitable purposes for the advancement of FIU and its objectives. The Foundation is a non-profit corporation governed by a Board of Directors, whose members play a significant role in the development of the University as a major educational, cultural and economic resource. The University turned to MC Harry Associates to “re-imagine” their 15,000sf Foundation Headquarters. The design aesthetic is a thoughtful blend of sleek contemporary corporate interiors with the warmth radiating from wood accents. The University’s branding program has been integrated into the design in the form of etched glass wall panels, terrazzo floor graphics, custom carpet designs, school color appliqués, and a variety of flat screen dynamic displays. Program elements include a Reception Area; Directors Office with adjoining Conference Room; 24 Glass Enclosed Private Offices; a Main Conference Room seating 22; an Open Plan Office Area seating 66; a glass enclosed Staff Break Room and Kitchen; modernized Toilet Rooms and Elevator Lobby.
