Southridge Park Sports Center

Miami-Dade County is committed to the principals of building a healthier, more vibrant and livable community through implementation of their Parks and Open Spaces Master Plan. Accordingly, they turned to MC Harry Associates to address the County’s planning and design goals for the 300 square mile Region C area of Southwest Miami-Dade County containing more than 60 public parks and preserve areas. MC Harry Associates’ vision for the Southridge Park Sports Center will achieve a cost effective and aesthetically satisfying experience for all park users. 

The project design is organized around a two-story lobby/reception space flanked by a multipurpose/events space, and a fitness room and a ‘kidz corner’ play area. The atrium lobby links to an outdoor dining patio and splash pad leading to an eight-lane competition swimming pool. Support spaces include warming kitchen for catered events; and related toilet/shower/locker rooms.
