Southridge Park Community Aquatic Center

Miami-Dade County is committed to building a healthier, more vibrant, livable community by implementing its Parks and Open Spaces Master Plan. Accordingly, they turned to MC Harry Associates to address the County’s planning and design goals for the 300 square mile Region C area of Southwest Miami-Dade County containing more than 60 public parks and preserve areas. MC Harry Associates’ vision for the Southridge Park Sports Center will achieve a cost-effective and aesthetically satisfying experience for all park users. 

The project design is organized around a two-story lobby/reception space flanked by a multipurpose/events space, a fitness room, and a ‘kidz corner’ play area. The atrium lobby links to an outdoor dining patio and splash pad leading to an eight-lane competition swimming pool. Support spaces include a warming kitchen for catered events; and related toilet/shower/locker rooms.

Construction has begun on this exciting project.
